    COMMUNITY COURTYARD

The large courtyard forms the heart of this low-rise ecological co-housing development.

    HELOPHYTE FILTER

Helophyte filter consisting of reed beds helps filter the blackwater from the development which is then re-used for flushing toilets.

    CENTRAL WADI

The central garden is a wadi or seasonal water bed. It is used to collect rainwater, while at other times it is used for play

    PERMACULTURE GARDEN

Permaculture garden allows residents to grow their own food.

    CHILD-FRIENDLY

Several play zones have been created within the vast courtyard including this sand pit lined with wooden logs
