Description

It is a low-rise suburban neighborhood that was built as the Olympic Village for the Sydney 2000 Olympic Games.
Sustainable measures were implemented throughout the project. It features waste recycling, solar energy and environmentally friendly transport options were used during the Games.
It was the largest solar-powered suburb at the time of its construction.
It is designed as a walkable neighborhood with cycle lanes and walkways connecting important points in the surrounding areas. The suburb is well connected with bus services.
The buildings consist of low-rise apartments and townhouses.
Greenery is prominent throughout the site which has pocket parks and tree-lined streets. Every home has access to a green space within 400m.
It was developed on brownfield site.
Wastewater is treated in-situ and directed towards a restored wetland near the property.
The houses are designed according to passive design principles such as window awnings, pergolas and deciduous tree planting.
