Description
- Oceanix is a blueprint for floating cities to combat issues of land shortage and rising water levels in coastal cities.
- The design consists of platforms forming hexagonal modules.
- Each platform would consist of 6 integrated systems- zero waste, circular systems, closed loop water systems, food, net zero energy, innovative mobility and habitat regeneration.
- The islands would have low rise structures with terraces for indoor-outdoor living.
- There would be soil-less permaculture systems for supply of food.
- The floating platforms would connect to land via link-span bridges.
- Energy for the island would be generated through floating and rooftop photovoltaic panels.
