- GREEN ROOF Green roofs provide additional surfaces for retaining stormwater while encouraging biodiversity.
- BIKE PARKING The pedestrian area promotes use of bikes. Bikes can be parked near the residences.
- PERMEABLE SURFACES The outdoor surfaces are permeable with pavement or lawn. This allows for water percolation.
- RAINWATER HARVESTING Water from the various roofs is collected and used to recharge groundwater.
- PASSIVE HOUSES The homes have been designed to take advantage of solar gain through their orientation. Large glazed areas face the sun.
